Manually Updating Searches

If you answered No to the question about receiving e-mail updates, the search strategy will be saved and you will be able to "manually" check for new citations.

Demonstration
Click the steps to run the demonstration.

  • Step 1: Go to your Saved Searches in My NCBI.

  • Step 2: Check the box to the left of the search to be updated. Searches noted with No Schedule under the Details column have not been set up for automatic updating.

  • Step 3: Click What’s New for Selected at the bottom of the page.

  • Step 4: My NCBI will indicate if there are any new citations retrieved by the strategy since your last update. Click on this link to display the new citations and to complete the update.

  • Step 5: When you return, your saved search list will reflect the date and time of the manual update.
