Adding Filters (continued)

Using The Browse feature to find additional options for PubMed filters:

Demonstration
Click the steps to run the demonstration.

Step 1: Use the hammer and wrench icon to reach the Filters Selection page. (If you are not already signed into My NCBI, you will be brought to the sign in page.)

Step 2: Click on Browse. There are 3 categories of available filters: LinkOut, Links, and Properties.

Step 3: Subject-related filters are included in the Properties filter. Let’s look at the Publication Types filters. For this demo, we’ll choose “Randomized Controlled Trial.” To select this filter, click in the checkbox.

Step 4: Notice the use of “breadcrumbs” on the Filters pages. Each breadcrumb for a higher level is a link to that page.

Step 5: Let’s run our search again (child behavior disorders). Notice this additional filter on the Results page.
