NCBI Databases

Links to NCBI Entrez databases are available from the Links pull-down menu to the right of each citation.

Demonstration
Click the Steps to run the demonstration.

To access links associated with a citation:

  • Step 1: Look for articles by D.A. Starr that have appeared in the Journal of Cell Biology and set the display to Abstract. Notice the icon that links to the publisher Web site. Some journal Web sites may require that you subscribe or pay a fee to view full-texts of articles.

  • Step 2: Click on Related Articles to view those articles that are related to the original citation. To return to the citation, select the browser's Back button. Notice that links will change color once they have been visited.

  • Step 3: Click the Links pull-down menu for the second citation and select the Nucleotide link. Notice that there are further related links associated with the listed entries. Click the browser's Back button when finished to return to the citation.

  • Step 4: Click the Links pull-down menu for the citation and select the Protein link. Click the Back button when ready to return.
