Title Word Searching [TI]

Searching with Title Words is a good way to find a specific citation.

  • Enter significant terms and/or numbers from the title of an article.
  • Follow each term with the [ti] tag.
  • Use the AND connector between the words.

To search for an article, the title of which is "Chocolate: food or drug?", type chocolate[ti] AND food[ti] AND drug[ti] into the query box and click on Go.

Note: An easy way to search for Title Words is use the Title Words box of the Single Citation Matcher. Another way to complete this search is to enter the words and the Boolean ANDs in the query box and select Title from the Tag Terms pull-down menu in Limits. This eliminates the need to include a tag after each Title Word.
