Affiliation [AD]

The institutional affiliation (address) of the first author is taken from the article.

  • Use [ad] to qualify affiliation or address of the first author.
  • Examples:
    cleveland[ad] AND clinic[ad] [Show Me]
    national[ad] AND eye[ad] AND institute[ad]

Grant Number [GR]

Research grant numbers, contract numbers, or both that designate financial support by a granting agency. Currently, agencies include those of the US PHS (Public Health Service), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and eight from the United Kingdom. The number is followed by the country name and either the institute acronym (for US PHS institutes) or the full organization name. See table listing all funding sources.

  • Use [gr] to search for this type of information.
  • The four pieces of the grant number (LM05545 - number, LM - acronym, United States - country, and NLM - institute mnemonic) are each individually searchable using the [gr] tag.
  • Examples:

lm05545/lm/united states nlm[gr] [Show Me]
nlm [gr]
[Show Me]
wellcome trust [gr]
united kingdom [gr]
