Report 1-2A & 1-2AY: Detailed DOCLINE Borrower Statistics

The “Detailed DOCLINE Borrower Statistics” report provides a count of a library’s borrow requests that were completed during the report period. The report shows the lenders to which the requests routed, whether or not they were filled and the turnaround time for each lender.

Report Frequency: The 1-2A is posted quarterly. The 1-2AY, which is the annual cumulative report covering January through December, is posted once a year.

Statistics Reported:

#Received: The total number of requests that were receipted by the lender during the report period.

#Filled: The total number of DOCLINE requests the lender filled during the report period broken down by journals and monographs.

% Filled: The percentage of DOCLINE requests of those received the lender filled during the report period broken down by journals and monographs.

#Not Filled: The total number of DOCLINE requests the lender rejected during the report period broken down by journals and monographs.

% Not Filled: The percentage of DOCLINE requests of those received the lender rejected during the report period broken down by journals and monographs.

#Days to Process (Filled):  Also known as “turnaround time”, Days to Process reports the average time it took for the library’s borrow requests to be filled in DOCLINE.  The number is shown in one-hundredths of a day based upon calendar days.  The turnaround time is shown for journals, monographs and also the average for all requests.  If the abbreviation “N/A” appears in the “Days to Process” section it indicates that no requests fell into that category during the quarter.

#Days to Process (Not Filled):  Also known as “turnaround time”, Days to Process reports the average time it took for the library’s borrow requests to be retired unfilled in DOCLINE.  The number is shown in one-hundredths of a day based upon calendar days. The turnaround time is shown for journals, monographs and also the average for all requests.  If the abbreviation “N/A” appears in the “Days to Process” section it indicates that no requests fell into that category during the quarter.

Note: A single request can route to multiple lenders before completion so the “Received” and “Not Filled” totals on the detailed report will not always match the totals on the Summary DOCLINE Borrower Statistics Report (Report 1-1A).

For example, request number 43211234 may be routed to MDUBIX, where it is updated as not filled; it is then rerouted to MDUXXC, where it is also updated as not filled, and finally rerouted to VAUBIJ where it is filled. This request would be represented on this report three times, each time associated with the LIBID of a potential lender (MDUBIX, MDUXXC) as well as with the LIBID of the actual lender (VAUBIJ).
