bullet   Purpose
NLM participates in these NIH-wide programs, using the following guidelines:
  • Current NLM Biomedical Informatics trainees or fellows are eligible if their research meets defined requirements for clinical research.
  • Eligibility for NLM support is not limited to those who have received NLM fellowships, but applicants must have committed to a career in clinical/biomedical informatics.
  • Award decisions cannot be appealed. Unsuccessful applicants may reapply in the next fiscal year competition.

The Loan Repayment Program usually announces its annual application period in September, and closes the period on December 1 each year.
