A Lot Of People
Are Getting Stuck With AIDS.
Aids is on the verge of touching all of us—someone we know, someone down the street, or someone in our own family. A lot of people aren’t getting the message about AIDS, or they’;re choosing to ignore it. It’s another classic case of “it can’t happen to me” until it does happen to you or someone you care about.
AIDS continues to spread in Dallas County, partly became of the intravenous drug user—a fairly secretive population totaling over 1.5 million people nationwide. Sharing a needle with someone else is risky and stupid. And it’s a proven way to contract AIDS. I.V. drug users are difficult to reach, and that’s why the AIDS Resource Center needs help to pass on the truth to this group
With your help, the AIDS Resource Center can help to educate drug users and the people they know. Our volunteers, armed with information can help stop the spread of the disease right in our own neighborhoods.
The continuing spread of AIDS is senseless. Ignorance surrounding the disease is our main obstacle. With your donation of food, clothing or money, the AIDS Resource Center can help those who have been touched by AIDS and educate those who continue to tempt it with intravenous drugs. If you know of someone who might be missing the point about AIDS, inform them of the truth about I.V.drug use and ask them to pass it on. Call 599-AIDS.
