Leslie Townes Hope (Bob Hope) (b. 1903)
American comedian and film actor
Born near London, Bob Hope grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the most durable and popular comedians on radio, in television and the movies, Hope made more than forty trips abroad to entertain U.S. troops throughout four wars and has received distinguished service awards from every branch of the armed services.
