Biomedical Informatics

The evolution of computers in medical research has helped transform diagnostics, delivery of care, communication, and training and education. Biomedical Informatics can be defined as the study, invention, and implementation of structures and algorithms to improve communication, understanding and management of medical information. The coalescence of data, knowledge, and tools work together to create a more efficient decision-making process at the point of patient contact.
