The Alexian Brothers Provincial Archives was established in 1973 to collect, preserve and make accessible the records of enduring value produced by Alexian Brothers of America and its related business entities. Alexian Brothers Health System carries out the healing mission of the Catholic Church through the Alexian Brothers ministries by identifying and developing effective responses to the health and housing needs of those we are called to serve.
Since the Archives has minimal staff, reference service is limited to brief inquiries which do not involve extensive research. The records retained in the Archives are specifically for internal use, however, on occasion legitimate researchers from outside the organization may be granted access to certain records. Photographs will be supplied, upon request, for the cost of reproduction by a professional photography laboratory to persons or organizations with a legitimate purpose. We retain the right to limit and control the use of our images.
