George and Zuriel Waterman were brothers and physicians from Rhode Island. George practiced in Pawtuxet and Cranston, Rhode Island. Zuriel served as a ship's surgeon on several American privateers during the Revolutionary War. After the war, Zuriel lived in Edenton, North Carolina.

Daybooks, correspondence, ledgers and journals pertaining to medical practice, as well as memorandum books kept on board a privateer during the American Revolution. Correspondence is chiefly personal and includes letters from Peleg Arnold, Nathaniel Knight, and Benjamin Rhodes.
