The Office of the Public Health Service Historian has officially closed. Collections of the office have been redistributed, chiefly to the National Library of Medicine, whose History of Medicine Division is providing limited reference and access services at (301) 402-8878 and through hmdref@nlm.nih.gov. Additionally, many captures of the previous website were preserved via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine and are available at http://web.archive.org/web/20100608091748/http://lhncbc.nlm.nih.gov/apdb/phsHistory/. The last valid content capture was June 8, 2010.
