NLM is pleased to announce the release of an updated SNOMED CT to ICD-10-CM mapping file.

The purpose of the SNOMED CT to ICD-10-CM map is to support semi-automated generation of ICD-10-CM codes from clinical data encoded in SNOMED CT for reimbursement and statistical purposes. This updated mapping file is derived from the March 2015 US Edition of SNOMED CT and the 2015 version of ICD-10-CM. There is a total of 66,257 SNOMED CT concepts mapped in this updated release.

The updated release (SNOMEDCT_ICD10CM_map_20150901) can be downloaded now as a standalone file with your UTS login.

Additionally, the mapping file will be packaged as part of the September 2015 US Edition of SNOMED CT, set to be released in September 2015.
