LinkOut Support Meeting Summary
We held a LinkOut Support meeting at MLA for people involved in supporting LinkOut in their libraries. Users who did not attend the meeting can provide their feedback at lib-linkout@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. There is a summary of this meeting online at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/linkout/doc/support.html

Searching for Full Text
There is a new method for searching for citations with links to free full text. You can search:

        free full text [sb]

You can combine this search value with another search using the Boolean operator AND.

For more information see Technical Notes: Free Full Text Subset Available for PubMed Searching. NLM Tech Bull. 2003 May-Jun;(332):e1.

LINKOUT-L
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM), Greater Midwest Region, is hosting a new discussion list for all present or potential LinkOut users.

Members of this list will receive the announcements from the library-linkout announcement list, have the ability to problem-solve with current users, and have the opportunity to tap into the expertise of the LinkOut Coordinators.

To subscribe, send an e-mail message to listserv@uic.edu with the command:

        SUBSCRIBE LINKOUT-L Marilyn Monroe
Replace "Marilyn Monroe" with your name.

You do not need a subject for the e-mail.

Please Note: This list is not moderated by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Please send questions or comments to the LinkOut team at NCBI: lib-linkout@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Documentation Updates
The LinkOut for Libraries FAQ now includes information on free full text, canned searches, and SERHOLD print icons. "Setting Up LinkOut for Libraries" has been updated with new images and examples. Updates have also been made to "LinkOut and Library Holdings".
