New Kaiser Permanente Starter Reference Set and Updated GP/FP Reference Set and ICPC-2 Map File Available
November 26, 2014
The Kaiser Permanente Starter Reference Set is now available for download. The reference set release is part of an ongoing collaboration between Kaiser Permanente, the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO), and the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The clinical content of the reference sets has been derived by listing the medical terms most commonly used across health care domains at Kaiser Permanente. The collaboration has resulted in the Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT), charitable donations by Kaiser Permanente to the IHTSDO and NLM. This release contains reference sets donated over a six-month period during 2014, aligned to the July 2014 SNOMED CT International Release.
Additionally, the IHTSDO has released an update to the SNOMED CT International General/Family subset (GP/FP Subset) and map from the GP/FP Subset to the International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC-2). The original files has been revised as a result of feedback provided to the IHTSDO.
