This release of RxNorm is consistent with the 2011AA UMLS Metathesaurus release. For additional information about RxNorm releases, including scripts for loading the RxNorm data into Oracle and MySQL databases, read the RxNorm Documentation.

Data Changes
This release includes new branded drug information with NDCs, which was recently contributed by Micromedex (MMX). The new NDCs, along with their RxNorm normalized versions, can be found as attributes in the RXNSAT.RRF file.
This release also includes a new attribute, ATN=RXN_PRESCRIBABLE with ATV=Y, which denotes the RxCUIs that are part of the Current Prescribable Content subset. Both the RxNorm full release and the Current Prescribable Content subset include the new attribute.
