Authority
The International Classification of Primary Care, Second
Edition (ICPC2) – International Classification of Diseases,
Tenth Revision (ICD10) Thesaurus was developed at the Academic
Medical Center at the University of Amsterdam and is now
maintained by the Transition Project Foundation.
Purpose
ICPC2-ICD10 Thesaurus is used to code data about
patients’ diagnoses.
Description
ICPC2-ICD10 Thesaurus maps the diagnoses found in ICPC-2,
which only includes the more common diagnoses, to the wide range
of diagnoses found in ICD-10. This provides finer granularity for
patient diagnosis in the domain of family medicine.
ICPC2-ICD10 Thesaurus also includes mappings between ICD-9-CM and ICD-10 provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Audience
ICPC2-ICD10 Thesaurus is used by general/family practice and
primary care physicians.
Update Frequency
ICPC2-ICD10 Thesaurus is updated irregularly; it was last
updated in 2005.
