  Figure 2. Ellipsoids in RGB feature space, used for classification of various tissue types found in the abdomen (Figure 1). Many objects show somewhat similar colors, such that the corresponding ellipsoids are partly overlapping.

  Figure 3. The model contains more than 650 objects, with a spatial resolution of 1 mm3. It can be viewed from any direction, cuts may be placed in any number and direction, and objects may be removed or added.

  Figure 4. Objects may be annotated or painted by mouse click. Likewise, knowledge about anatomy and function may be called, which is displayed on several popup menus.
 

Figure 5

  Figure 5. Different viewing modes such as X-ray imaging may be chosen from any direction and for any part of the image. The X-ray image may be interrogated as to which object contributes to the image.
