Databases

ChemIDplus, developed by the Specialized Information Services at the National Library of Medicine, includes a full text database on drugs and chemicals and contains information on specific drugs.

PubChem, from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (CNBI), provides information on the biological activities of small molecules.

The Toxic Substances Control Act Chemical Substance Inventory (TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory) is produced by the Existing Chemicals Program in the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, part of the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention in the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory is a non-bibliographic dictionary which lists each chemical substance manufactured or processed in the United States.
