Learning about Health Statistics

Finding and Using Health Statistics (National Library of Medicine, National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology). This course describes the range of available health statistics, identifies their sources and helps you understand how to use information about their structure as you search.

Health Statistics on the Web: It's as Easy as…1,2,3! (National Network of Libraries of Medicine). Course materials for a hands-on course that focuses on the location, selection, and effective use of statistics relevant to health on the local, state, national, and international levels.

LearnSTAT On Demand (American Statistical Association). Webinars include those from the Biopharmaceutical Section on clinical trials and those from the Survey Research Methods Section. Registration and fees required.

Training Resources. (National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems - NAPHSIS) Online courses on the topics of statistical analysis, epidemiologic methods, data management, etc., offered by public health schools, non-profit entities, and federal and state agencies.
