Organizations

Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). This agency, part of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), conducts surveys and provides access to data on the cost and use of health care and health insurance coverage in the U.S.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) administers Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF). This independent, non-profit organization focuses on major health issues in the U.S. and internationally, analyzing policies and providing data. Topics of interest include health care reform, Medicare, Medicaid, the uninsured, and private health insurance.
