Biographies

• When cataloging a biography, assign a MeSH term for the appropriate class of persons or specialty, as well as a subject heading for the personal name of the biography (Cf. Module 7—Names as subjects)

• If the work is a collective biography, generally do not provide personal name added entries if more than three people are covered

• Also add a publication type Biography (Cf. Module 6—Publication Types)

• The correct publication type for an autobiography is Personal Narratives
