Personal Names

  • For works about an individual and/or the individual’s work, assign the appropriate heading from the NAF for that person using the MARC 600 tag
  • Generally coordinate personal names used as subjects with the appropriate MeSH term for specialty if applicable
  • In cases where a MeSH term exists for the person’s theories (e.g. Jungian Theory), use judgment in determining whether both the MeSH term and the heading for the person are appropriate
