Special Cases
- If the NLM record does not contain any 650 terms, but does contain a 651, then the term is distributed as a 651 in the MARC 21 output
- Example:

- NLM files
- If the NLM record does not contain any 650 or 651 terms, but does contain a 655, then the term is distributed as a 655 in the MARC 21 output
- Example:

- 655 _2 $a Periodicals.
- NLM files
- If the NLM record does not contain any 650 terms, but does contain a 651 and 655, then the 655 is appended as $v to the 651
