NLM Curation at Scale Workshop

A forum for discussing challenges and opportunities and fostering collaboration in digital curation by and for the biomedical community

Workshop Postponed in Consideration of COVID-19

After careful consideration and based on recent reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and advice from NIH management about the potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the organizers are postponing the NLM Curation at Scale Workshop to a future date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but, at this time, the health and safety of all attendees is most important to us.

Workshop Overview

Data curation plays a critical role in today’s biomedical research and ensures scientific data will be accessible for future research and reuse. To improve the speed and scope of manual curation, computer automation/assistance is becoming increasingly desired.

The NLM Curation at Scale workshop will bring together biocurators, developers of automated curation methods, and other stakeholders. This workshop offers an opportunity to learn more about the current status of biomedical data curation, share your research and challenges, and discuss the implementation of advanced computational techniques in scientific data curation.

We welcome participants from academia, government, publishers, and industry interested in the methods and tools employed in curation of biomedical data. All participants are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration for poster presentation.

Online registration for the NLM workshop on Curation at Scale 2020 is free and open to all. Registration is required for in-person attendance only. No registration is needed for joining the event via webcast (see left sidebar for detailed information).
