ChemIDplus is a dictionary of over 400,000 chemicals (names, synonyms, and structures). ChemIDplus includes links to NLM and other databases and resources, including links to federal, state and international agencies.

NLM makes a subset of ChemIDplus data available for download. The ChemIDplus Subset does not include the structure or the toxicity data available from the NLM web versions of the database. Beginning October 28, 2007, it also does not include data with the source tag of USPDDN available in the web versions. Contact Terri Markward (tam at usp dot org) of the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, Inc., the provider of USPDDN data for ChemIDplus, for information about leasing the USPDDN data directly from USP.

The ChemIDplus Subset is updated monthly.

NLM Data News

The NLM Data License has been replaced by Terms and Conditions. No registration is required to access data available from NLM's FTP servers. Users will not be required to renew a license agreement at the end of the year.
