Changing a patron's password

For privacy reasons, Loansome Doc patron passwords are never displayed in the interface and are not accessible to libraries or to NLM.   Patrons can reset their password themselves, but libraries can also reset a patron's password.  To change a patron's password, do the following:

On the DOCLINE navigation bar, select Loansome Doc Patrons

Enter search criteria

Click Search

View

The patron search results are displayed

Select a record by clicking on the patron name

View

The patron record is displayed

Verify the patron's email address

Click Reset Password

The new password is emailed to the email address in the record.
