Finding a request

To find DOCLINE requests:

Select Requests from the DOCLINE main menu.

Select Status/Cancel.

Retrieve your request(s) by entering the request number(s), patron name or email address in the Request # or Patron box

OR

under Define Search Limits select search criteria, (e.g., “DOCLINE” or “Loansome Doc”, “Borrow” or “Lend”), choose request status (e.g., “Pending”, “Filled”) and set the date range you wish to search within.  Requests are available for 150 days from date of Final Action (filled or rejected).

Click SEARCH.

View

Request data is displayed in the following columns: Request #, Request Info, Action Date, Action and Institution.  Requests can be sorted Oldest to Newest, Newest to oldest, by Action, Patron Name, Institution, Service Level or Citation. To change sorting, select Sorted By at the top of the page, and make selections under View Options.

Click REFRESH.

To view a request, click the request number under the Request # column.

To contact the borrower or lender for a specific request, select Contact Library.   To view the lender's ILL information, including the contact information, charges and delivery methods, click on the LIBID next to the lending institution name. A new window will open with the ILL information. The whole Institution record may be viewed by clicking the View Entire Record link at the top left of the ILL information window. To return to Status/Cancel, click Close Window at the bottom of the Institution record.

To view the history, click on the action text (e.g. "Not Filled" or "Canceled") under the Action column.

To return to Status/Cancel after viewing the request or the routing history, click Return.
