A Public View: Man Versus Environment, presented by Congressman John E. Fogarty for the Second National Congress on Environmental Health, 1961

Congressman John E. Fogarty urged the PHS to take sole responsibility for the regulation and study of pollution and its health hazards. Fogarty’s statement encouraged many in the government to play greater roles in making the environment healthier for all.
