250 Years of American Medicine

Joining in national celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) delves into its vast collection to offer a visual experience of 250 Years of American Medicine.

As the world’s largest biomedical library, NLM continues to fulfill its congressional mandate to acquire and preserve library materials pertinent to medicine and to publicize the availability of its collection and resources.
