NN/LM National Network Office

The NN/LM, formerly the Regional Medical Library Program, has been serving the biomedical information needs of the nation for over forty years. Established in the Medical Library Assistance Act of 1965, this Network of libraries has matured into a thriving organization consisting of primary access libraries, resource libraries, regional libraries (RMLs) and the National Library of Medicine. The Regional Medical Libraries (RMLs)are eight institutions that coordinate health sciences information services regionally. They are under contract to the National Library of Medicine. The National Network Office, located at the National Library of Medicine, oversees these contracts.
