Reference assistance is available; photocopying is permitted.


The collection consists of 50+ interviews with mostly physicians who practiced (or are stilling practicing) medicine at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco. The interviews were recorded between the late 1970s and the mid-1990s. The interviewees discuss their professional and personal experiences at Mount Zion. All of the interviews have been transcribed into hard copy; they are reflected in the California Digital Library's Melvyl Catalog (University of California). The collection is held in the History of Medicine Collection of the H.M. Fishbon Memorial Library of the UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion.


There are 52 transcribed interviews. Resources are not being added at the present time.
