Overview

An eye ultrasound is a diagnostic procedure which may be used to test for abnormalities in the eye. The ultrasound helps evaluate the farthest part of the eyeball when there are cataracts. The test may help diagnose retinal detachment or other disorders in the eye, as well as disorders and lesions behind the eye.
