NLM Board of Regents presents Regents Awards for Scholarship or Technical Achievement

The Regents Award for Scholarship or Technical Achievement was established in 1970 by the Board of Regents. The purpose of this Award is to recognize independent creativity leading to scholarly and/or technical achievements that enrich biomedicine. The Board recognized the following awardees with the highest honor it can give to a member of the staff during its meeting on February 10th.

  • Kenneth S. Katz, Ph.D., Staff Scientist, National Center for Biotechnology Information: ** For technical leadership in protecting Personally Identifiable Information in genomic research.
  • Lauren L. Porter, Ph.D., Tenure-Track Investigator Division of Intramural Research: In recognition of research on developing artificial intelligence methods to discover protein structures of fold switching proteins.
  • Elizabeth A. Mullen, Digitization Team Lead and Jeffrey S. Reznick, Ph.D., Chief, Collections Branch (acting) and Senior Historian, User Services and Collection Division: In recognition of outstanding original scholarship and technical achievement through co-envisioning, co-curating, and co-editing the peer-reviewed book Circulating Now, Full Circle.
