HSTAT Document Tables of Content
NLM provides a table of contents for each HSTAT document from which a particular section may be selected, as well as the ability to search individual documents by words or phrases.
Each document within HSTAT is displayed in a series of bite-sized pieces, based on the subsections of the documents. A navigation bar on the left of each page allows the user to jump between document sections, documents or collections within HSTAT.
Any Bookshelf page can be bookmarked as a "favorite" for future reference, or be linked to by another Web page.
Citations within HSTAT documents that also have a PubMed or PubMed Central record are hyperlinked accordingly from the reference list.
In addition, HSTAT on the WWW allows for word or phrase searching across all documents (or across user-selected subsets of documents) in the HSTAT collection - and PubMed.
Sample Search on Fruit and Vegetable Intake
Fruit and vegetable intake is important to maintaining health and issues surrounding this topic are studied extensively by health services researchers interested in nutritional topics. A search on fruits and vegetables reveals two relevant AHRQ evidence reports as you can see in in the image above. These reports can be examined for relevant content and for citations.
