New Features Added to NLM Technical Bulletin

drop cap letter for b eginning with the September-October 2005 issue, the NLM Technical Bulletin will have some convenient new features.

Search the Technical Bulletin
With this new feature you can search the index text back to 1979 and the article text back to 1997. The search box will appear in the subheader on every page. The search engine, Recommind, is also used on the NLM Web site.

Print This Issue
Now you will be able to print the entire issue at one time, once the issue is completed. When an issue is closed, a link to a PDF of the issue will appear above the Technical Notes box on the table of contents page. Just click on the link and print the PDF. This link will not appear until the issue has closed. Issues preceding the September-October 2005 issue will not have this feature available immediately, but it will be added at a later date.

What Other Readers Are Reading
Look for this new link above the Technical Notes box on the table of contents page while an issue is still in progress. You will be able to see what the most popular articles are, based on our usage statistics, and link to them.

E-mail Notification of New Articles and Issue Closure
To keep abreast of new NLM Technical Bulletin articles and issue closures, subscribe to the NLM-Announces mailing list. NLM-Announces distributes weekly messages announcing new and updated pages on the NLM Web site. We have added a link to sign up for NLM-Announces to the front page of the NLM Technical Bulletin and to the footer found on each page of every article.
