Release of 2026 MeSH XML, RDF Datasets. NLM Tech Bull. 2026 Jan-Feb;(468): b2
Production year 2026 MeSH in XML, and RDF have been released and are available for download from the National Library of Medicine (NLM). These include the 2026 Descriptors, Qualifiers, and SCRs. NLM has already released the 2026 MeSH DTDs, all of which have a file name ending in "recordset_20260101.dtd".
As always, we recommend you reference and use the production year DTD with the same production year dataset. The DTDs can be found at the bottom of the left column of the Download MeSH Data page on NLM's Data Distribution. Please note there are significant changes to the 2026 DTDs and need to be downloaded prior to using the 2026 MeSH XML.
The 2026 MeSH Change reports will be release not later than February 2, 2026. Previous year change reports can be found here: Annual MeSH Processing (AMP)
