New Qualitative Distinction: Niacinamide
We have added a new Qualitative Distinction (Niacinamide) to differentiate insulin analogs Fiasp and NovoLog. Fiasp is the faster acting of the two. Previously, all Fiasp and NovoLog products shared three SCDs:
The new QD is applied to SCDs and SBDs for Fiasp, but existing RXCUIs have been retained. SCDs and SBDs for other insulin products without niacinamide are unchanged. Examples:
