Space Life Sciences Data Hiatus
Space Life Sciences Data Hiatus. NLM Technical Bulletin. 2004 May–Jun;(338):e1.

Under a collaborative arrangement with NLM, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) adds and/or enhances citations to publications in the Space Life Sciences in both MEDLINE in PubMed and LocatorPlus, NLM's Online Catalog. NASA uses a contract to perform this work.
Due to a dispute involving this NASA contract no new unique Space Life Sciences data have been added to MEDLINE or LocatorPlus since 5:00 PM on March 12, 2004. Nor have the additional special NASA-related features (Other Terms, Space Flight Mission, Other ID, General Note and Investigator) been added to any existing citations. It is expected this hiatus will last until near the end of calendar 2004.
Searchers using PubMed and limiting to the Space subset will continue to find MEDLINE citations on the this topic because the Space subset strategy includes text words, investigator/author names, MeSH headings, and journal titles, relating to space life sciences, in addition to the Space Citation Subset value.
