As announced in the March-April 1999 NLM Technical Bulletin , (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/ma99/ma99_elhill.html) all direct public access to ELHILL and the TOXNET command/menu system will cease on September 30, 1999. Automatic SDI searches and offline prints will also be discontinued on September 30, 1999.
Online registration for billed codes was discontinued on May 1, 1999. Users are encouraged to switch now to NLM's free Web-based search engines, PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez); Internet Grateful Med; TOXNET on the Web (http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov); and LocatorPlus (http://locatorplus.gov/).
