The definitions of two language codes–"scr" and "scc"–used in NLM databases have changed to reflect current usage of Croatian and Serbian as two separate languages:

scr Serbo-Croatian (Roman) Croatian
scc Serbo-Croatian (Cyrillic) Serbian

[Update: In addition to Croation and Serbian, "Bosnian" is also recognized as a separate language. Starting December 15, 2003, the language term "Bosnian" is to be applied when indexing articles in the sole MEDLINE-indexed journal that is published in Bosnia and Hercegovina, Medicinski Arhiv, unless it is clear that another language is appropriate.]
