Introduction
The Visible Human® Data Set (Table 1) contains
31.9 Gbyte of compressed full color, and radiological images.
Image files are stored in a Unix compressed format in directory
structures for the male and female images. Each of the main directories is
divided into subdirectories for the full color, MRI, and CT images. The
larger digital color subdirectories are further divided into separate anatomical regions
(head, thorax, abdomen, etc).
