Abstract
We are developing tutorials to aid medical students in the study of human anatomy during a first year course in Clinical Anatomy.  Our goal is to provide brief lessons that simplify complex areas and provide a different perspective from that obtained from conventional study and dissection. The lessons will be designed as platform independent electronic resources delivered on the Internet. They can be used as lecture aids, for independent study, or as self-tests.  These tutorials combine 3D visualizations extracted from the Male Visible Human data with other interactive  multimedia applications.  We begin with a "Pelvic Anatomy Lesson" since the pelvis and perineum can be particularly troublesome regions and will benefit from the three-dimensional visualizations that can be extracted from the Visible Human data. Eventually these anatomy lessons will link to other portions of the first year curriculum and to other Internet locations for in depth clinical correlations.
