Databases That Require Subscriptions

Another library or service may provide free access to you onsite or remotely. The following may be useful.

  • Biological Abstracts® is a collection of bibliographic references to life science and biomedical research literature in more than 4,300 journals internationally.
  • BIOSIS Previews combines life sciences journal content from Biological Abstracts® with supplemental, non-journal coverage from Biological Abstracts/RRM® (Reports, Reviews, Meetings).
  • EMBASE/Excerpta Medica is a database good for tracking and retrieval of international journal and conference coverage, including information on drugs, diseases, and biomedical data from clinical trials research to pharmacovigilance.
  • PsycINFO® is an abstracting and indexing database for peer-reviewed literature in multidisciplinary behavioral sciences and mental health research designed specifically to deliver American Psychological Association (APA) content. It uses APA APA PsycNET® indexing with the controlled vocabulary of the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms®.
  • SCOPUS® is a large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature with tools to track, analyze and visualize research. It includes global, interdisciplinary and collaborative research output for fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities.
