National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health. Conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.

Office of Infectious Diseases, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Center whose mission is to lead, promote, and facilitate science, programs, and policies to reduce the burden of infectious diseases globally. Its three centers are the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, and the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. The CDC also publishes Flu Activity & Surveillance. This Website links to surveillance maps, summaries, overviews, and FluView, a weekly influenza surveillance report.
