American Foundation for the Blind. National nonprofit organization that advocates for people who are blind and people with low vision. American Speech-Language-Hearing Association promotes research and provides credentials for audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and research scientists. Statistics include the Prevalence and Incidence of Hearing Loss in Adults and the Prevalence and Incidence of Hearing Loss in Children.

National Eye Institute (NEI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Conducts research and develops public and professional education programs that help prevent blindness and reduce visual impairment. Also increases awareness of services and devices that are available for people with vision disorders.

National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), NIH. Conducts and supports biomedical and behavioral research and research training in hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech, and language. The NIDCD publishes Statistics about Hearing, Balance, Ear Infections, and Deafness, Statistics about Taste and Smell, and Statistics about Voice, Speech, and Language.

Prevent Blindness America is a national charity organization provides programs and services promoting eye health and safety.
