Future
Our research in visualization will continue to focus
on improving 3D visualization tools that will help create anatomical models
that can serve multiple purposes in teaching, research and the commercial
world. We will continue research in the ontology, in particular, looking
for the appropriate fit between educational needs and vocabulary and knowledge
structure standards. We will focus on clearly defining spatial and other
associative relationships for navigation purposes as well as
teaching and learning. In addition, we will pursue breakthroughs and
innovations in multimedia visualization and design, as well as investigate
new technologies and methods for electronic curriculum application development.
