For example, if it’s an everyday occurrence due to slipping on the ice or something like that, you don’t go to a shaman for that. You go to an empirical healer, or you can call it whatever you like, but that’s what I always called it. On the other hand, if you have a mysterious illness where you have a severe headache, and you’ve been laid up with a fever for week, you know then you’re likely to go to a shaman because you don’t know the cause, and you may die. And that’s when you need to get straight with the spirits or whatever is going on.
