The benefits of native diet in treating diabetes

This center developed the Native Hawaiian diet with Dr. Shintani who is a traditional practitioner along with us. He’s not here today. But in that traditional diet he—there was a woman that was on 75 units of insulin a day and after three days of being on that diet, she was off all of her insulin and her body functions went back to normal. So it’s the McDonald’s and Burger Kings and Pizza Huts and Kentucky Fried Chicken that really lead Hawaiians down the pathway of diabetes.
